Green Street Hooligans, Deez movie!

"You know the best part? It isn't knowing that your friends have your back. It's knowing that you have your friends' back."
-Matt Buckner

My roommate Travis kept talking about this awesome movie with "Jacks" from Sons of Anarchy and "Frodo" from The Lord of the Rings Trilogy's. So heeding his advice, I added Green Street Hooligans to my Netflix list. Yes, Netflix is an amazing thing! After waiting a only a couple days, the movie arrived on a sunday and my roommates and I entered into the world of the GSE (Green Street Elite). The general plot behind this film is about Matt Buckner(Frodo) being wrongfully expelled from Harvard and then moves to London to stay with his sister. He is then introduced to Pete Dunham (Jacks) through his sisters fiance. From there Pete introduces Matt into the violent underworld of Hooliganism. Pete (Jacks) runs the GSE, a soccer "firm" in London. These firms are comparable to America's gangs, except without guns. Matt (Frodo) becomes morally transformed by the groups commitment to each other and he becomes recruited into their firm. This is an epic movie that involves inspirational morals of brotherhood while maintaing the enjoyment of watching people beat the crap out of each other. It is a savage movie that i highly recommend. It gives the audience a taste of the cultural differences between America and England. Rent it now! Plus JACK'S IS A BEAST!

About Me!

1. I am from East Greenwich, RI

2. A fun media experience I had this summer was seeing the movie Inception. I saw it twice with my friends and it just blew my mind.

3. One thing I like about current media is the instant access and availability we can get from an on demand media source. It is super convenient and takes the movie industry to a new level.
Something I dislike is the idea of paying for internet game play service like Xbox 360. We as consumers already spend enough on the consul game, controllers, and internet itself, that I found it ridiculous they feel the need to tack on another fee. Wii and Ps3 do not do this.

4. As far as my future goes, I am unsure on how it will turn out. I am a marketing major with a management track. I hope to either own a business, or create/invent something. I

The Peace Process

A few weeks ago I Heart Snow Productions came out with this hot new video, The Peace Process. It is a great shred videos that includes various locations from all across Burlington. Many local riders are also featured in this video, including Luke Haddock, Forest Bailey, Yale Cousino and many others. There are also great clips from last years U.S Open and other gnarly spots from across the nation. I Heart Snow Productions is run by one of our fellow Champlain classmates, Ian Post. He has numerous other videos that are equally shredtastical. If you like this video, or are interested in any other I Heart Snow videos, check out his website . You can buy the Peace Process online now for only $4.20. This video is a great way to check out what east coast riding is all about. It is a very limbic experience, hitting your brain with great music and flashy cool tricks to keep you entertained. Watch these riders throw banger after banger with a touch of humor along the way. You can tell these riders are just having a grand old time, enjoying what the sport is all about, having fun. I know I've watched this movie on more that one occasion. I highly recommend you purchase this movie because it is cheap and just plain entertainment. Download it, support your local classmates, and enjoy.
