Private Parts

Howard (as MamaLookaboobooday):
"Kill Kill Kill the White Man" by Eugene Mamalookaboobooday. Eugene is my pen name 'cause I wrote this while I was in the Pen.

In this scene Howard has just been told by "Pig Vomit" (Paul Giamatti) the list of words he is not allowed to say on air.
Of course this is Stern's reaction to "The Man" trying to censor him.

One lazy Sunday day, when my roommates and I were bumming around watching movies all day, we came across a classic HBO movie. This movie was called Private Parts, the life story of Howard Stern and how he changed the face of radio. Released in 1997, Private Parts was written and stars Howard Stern and his other life cohorts including Robin Quivers and Mary McCormack who plays Howard's wife. This auto-biographical story is hilarious and genuinely authentic. I love how Howard actually stars in his own movie, because there really isn't any one else that could portray the unbelievable wacky nature that is Stern. It documents his life story in a different way than other biographical documentations and includes real people that gives a strong back-story. This movie really appealed to me after reading a little about Howard Stern in the radio chapter of our Media books. I found it very interesting and it immediately caught my attention.

This movie excellently depicts the struggles of a little Howard, and the constant criticism he received for trying to make it in the radio industry. People always told him he didn't have the voice for radio, and told him to quit many times. Even with this relentless criticism, Howard continues in the radio business and brings with him his unique bland of comedy to the industry. Even with his ridiculous behaviors, Howard seemed to attract everyone who heard him. No matter how many times "the man" tried to shut him down, Howard proved victorious with the power of his fans. He changed the world of radio and with it, he shows the world that any dream is possible.

  1. Good blogging on shock jock Stern, John.

Big suggestion - fix the "bleeding" on your blog post, so that words and images stay within your blog boundaries, yes?

    Go for it.
